Neil Kaplan on RVD Radio with Seibertron’s own, Autobot420

Thanks to a tip from Seibertron.com member, Autobot420, we have found out about an interview happening tonight on the radio that many may want to listen to. The one and only voice of Robots in Disguise Optimus Prime, Neil Kaplan, will be a guest on RVD radio hosted by former Professional Wrestling star, Rob Van Dam.

Topics will include Halloween, Ghost Stories, Spirituality, Hollywood, RVD TV and Pro Wrestling. The episode will air TONIGHT from 6-8 Pacific, 9-11 Eastern. Apparently you can call (347) 308 8754 to share your ghost encounters, or in our case there is no reason we can't ask Neil about his work on Transformers.

Update:

The replay of the show is now available. The primary topic of the night was Halloween and ghost stories, but things got a little side tracked as Transformers were brought into the discussion by board member Autobot420.

Autobot420's call begins at around the 38 minute mark with his own ghost story, then in about 10 minutes the topic changes, bringing Neil Kaplan into the fray.

Japan to get Remolded Henkei Dirge and Thrust!

It has finally happened. Japan is getting the last of the Seekers for a complete set of six. It also appears that Takara went the extra mile with these two releases, as Henkei Dirge features G1 accurate wings rather than just a simple repaint of Ramjet like the Botcon release.

Silhouette images of both Dirge and Thrust are now listed on Gambo Store.com.

Toy Hobby Market also has the silhouette of Dirge on its page. It is unknown, but likely, if these two releases are store exclusives like Thundercracker and Skywarp.

Pre-orders for both begin November 13th and will begin shipping in March of 2009.

We will update when more information becomes available.

TF History 102: Creator Of Poker’s Hole Card Cam Gets Honored!

Mercurynews.com- What exactly do poker tournaments and Transformers have in common besides some Double Dealing? Henry Orenstein...

Who is Henry Orenstein you might ask? A Holocaust survivor turned toymaker, turned inventor, turned 80 year old poker tournament champ, Orenstein is credited in the early 80's with convincing HASBRO to market and produce Transformers toys in the U.S.

Besides being so important to our community and the history of our toys, he has also invented and patented the idea for the hole card camera, used when televising poker tournaments to show observers the cards that the players have in their holes, allowing us to know what they know without the other players in the game knowing, and allowing commentators to better analyze play. For this invention he is being enshrined in the 'Poker Hall Of Fame'.

You can read the short article here.

Shia Done Shooting ROTF?

Movie News has been a bit slow lately.

Some filming in Paris, and in Egypt (recently completed). Looks like the end of filming is near.

According to the Celebrity-Gossip.Net, Shia has landed back in LA, as he was spotted on Monday making his way through LAX.

The site also states that his portion (and the other on film actors and actresses) of the movie has wrapped, and The Live Action Movie Blog believes we should get an official announcement of the filming being wrapped up any day.

Stan Bush’s “The Touch” On NBC’s “Chuck”

Looks like we can add yet another Transformers related reference in another pop culture item.

"I am currently watching NBC's "Chuck" and they just played Stan Bush's "The Touch" from the Transformers Cartoon Movie. First time I've heard that song used anywhere else.

I'm such a Goober LOL!"

Of course, this is not the first time 'The Touch' has made it into other movies or television, but it is the most recent (Try wikipedia-- "Boogie Nights").
